Who Sea Point suits

Runners, families, longer stays, anyone who wants to walk at night.

Is it safe at night?

4/5, relative to Cape Town

One of the few areas where people genuinely walk after dark. The promenade is busy and lit. Side streets above Main Road are quieter than they look.

What does it cost?

RR · Mid

Mid to upper. Better value per square metre than Camps Bay.

Airport and beach

Airport 25 to 45 min. Beach: Promenade at the door, Clifton 10 min.

The safest route from the airport

Local tip

Book on the mountain side of Main Road if you want quiet, the sea side if you want the view. Regent Road traffic noise is real and no listing mentions it.

Safety scores are our judgement of walking around at night, not an official rating. For police-station crime figures see the SAPS crime statistics.
